Phase 1:Do we have the right problem?

The phase begins with the first meeting of the Archetype Team. During this meeting a list of issues is developed:What is the best way to approach the problem? How is the problem formulated? Does it lead us to the archetype? What is the public's perception of the problem?

Phase 2: Breaking the code

During the second meeting with the Archetype Team, results from the first three Imprinting Sessions are analyzed. The Team identifies the relevant problem, and can begin to look for the Archetype. This knowledge then guides the focus of the imprinting sessions in Phase 2. Four more imprinting sessions are conducted during Phase 2. These groups are referred to as "pattern" sessions

Phase 3: Verifying the code

Following the last imprinting session in this phase, the third meeting with the Archetype Team is held. The results of the second phase imprinting sessions are analyzed, and a new orientation is established. We begin to understand the archetype and to "break the code". The final three imprinting sessions are conducted during Phase 3.
